AWMMCC aims to hold a Club Run every month. Members are encouraged to make suggestions in relation to future Club Runs. With a little planning, we can arrange to travel some distance to visit a place of interest and if need be, overnight stops can also be planned.
2017
Cumberoona run
A total of 14 members plus a stow away boarded the Cumberoona for an hour and a half lunch cruise on Lake Mulwala. Members had com from a number of directions but morries were scarce due to some undergoing repairs. We heard vrery little of the commentary due to the noisy chatter among members. The President of Corowa Car Club was there with his morrie and came on board to chat. He was so engrosed with the conversation thgat he neglected to notice ass we left the dock. He was left with two choices, 1 swim ashore or 2 pay $28 and stay with us and miss out on lunch with his wife who was still on shore. After the cruise, many stopped at Dave & Joyce's to check on his Fire Engine and the Yellow Ute that he is working on.
Run to Walwa pub
Seven cars left the "BBB" in Albury at 9-15 am for our run to Walwa Hotel
We had a good run up the Murray Valley Highway and stopped (well most of us did) at the Granya Pub for morning tea. We were met there by John Dishon who had arranged the stop. With a few showers on the way we finally got to the Walwa Hotel to find Mark waiting for us. He had been travelling so fast that he completly missed the morning tea stop. Soon we were joined by Roger and Marlene making a total of 9 cars and 16 people. Not a bad turnout for our small club.
We all sat down to a great "conntry pub"style lunch before chosing one of many ways home. The day was enjoyed by everybody, with a few showers the only down turn.
